I have a vision of Ted in waders, with a harpoon.

is that a euphemism for a boner?

I have a vision of Cofe standing proudly in front of Ellen, and pronouncing his harpoon ready for action!

I saw a fucking Kingfisher,

It was awesome, that picture doesn't do it justice, its an amazingly coulourful thing.

Surely two kingfishers then. Unless it was indulging in some interspecias action/

I'm not surprised the picture doesn't do it justice, it's a pretty shit picture :)

I was told by a daft bird I worked with that she went to a friend's barbie and there were a lot of ewoks there. Upon questioning she said they dressed like goths and wore make up, so it was pointed out they are called Emos not Ewoks.

i'm amazed he can distinguish that species from the bird's eye view afforded him by his rocket pack.

Been an exciting morning on the balcony of Chez hOU's as we've had out first visit to the hanging ring of nuts, seeds and fat that's been there for the duration of the intense German winter (oddly, it's a lovely day, the ice has long gone and food is plentiful...).

http://www.rspb.org.uk/  Used this to ID it as a Great Tit; the little bastard that's been waking us up from 4am for some time no doubt.

Lapwings displaying over the moors in Staffs yesterday. Beautiful sight against the blue sky and reddening sunset with Wildboarlough in the distance.  Magic

Lapwings displaying over the moors

We sat and watched these in a field beneath the popular end for ages, a few weeks back.

Yesterday we saw a Peregrine cruising over Stanage End, and I thought I glimpsed Rob Smith, but it may just have been that Ewok which looks just like him.

Yeh loads of lap-wings over Staff moors at the moment.
A few Hen Harrier's around Baldstones / Gib torr area too... and yesterday I saw a Barn owl hunting over the tops by the Mermaid Inn on my way back from the Churnet, I stoped and watched it for a couple of minutes

I'm 80% sure I saw a woodcock buzzing over the plantation carpark as I got back to the LagerBus this evening. Right silhouette and rate of wing beats. Definitely not a curlew, but might have been a lone (and quiet) oystercatcher seen from an odd angle?

Also saw Al Williams looking very chilled out and not at all wild.

Saw a hare at Rivelin on Friday.
Always think what funny looking things they are, big startled eyes and huge huge ears

A few wagtails out on Sunday. Seen loads of geese over headed the last couple of weekends. Kirkhill must be a navigation point, as they all changed bearing as they were passing overhead.
