were very highly rated those Bloods....

i always thought a coil shock would been more appropriate, and they seem overpriced in the secondhand market IMO for what you get.

commencal 6?, mini DH?, SX trail?, Orange 5 in  a burly build?, transition bottlerocket?, scott voltage?

Cant see the bike in the link but in general,  :agree: with monsieur fatdoc. VFM wise you will find that the there are better deals to be had on the more mainstream brands.

Cheers guys..

JH, 58cm ( medium) full facer spare at my gaff mate.

Thanks fella, but now sorted - black full face...see you there.

Was up there last night with my spade doing what I could to drain the low spots.  It's in pretty good nick, but we could do with the monsoon stopping....  ::)

After I posted it and had another look arounds sdh it did occur to me that there was other stuff that may represent better value.
Had thought of a bottlerocket or an intense ss as alternatives. Orange 5 seems a bit too xc oriented in my mind.

I cant imagine either of them will be cheap either but of the two I would buy a bottlerocket (I think they look way cool and they are super tough  :strongbench: ).

You could also look at something like this:

Full bike for less than the cost of the aforementioned frames.

Preferably a full bike as I don't think I've got enough bits lying around to build up a bike. Open to ideas though. I'll send underground a message.

I'll send you a message later fatdoc...

But for now, I've dug out a load of old bits that I'm going to try and get rid of. Included in this is a 98/99/00 (not sure which year) original Kona Stab and Stratos MX6s if anyone is interested in a retro downhill bike... Can provide more details if necessary, suffice to say it is all functional and structurally sound - I even think that bubba and fbsf might have seen me riding it a Wharners a few years ago...

"Please pick up your rider pack from your start resort tourist office from 7am on the morning you have booked to ride. No rider pack will be given the day before."

Got an email from the passporte today, there would appear to be a flaw in the plan for underground to start at les gets.

Good find that Bubba, looks feckin' epic.  There's a few places there where getting it wrong would be pretty terminal.....  :o

It looks amazing, doesn't it? 26 miles, 7000ft downhill / 2000ft uphill.

I'd love to go there with something like a well sorted, light,  5" travel AM bike.

Certainly a contender for one of the best trails on earth.
