Yeh it's an awsome event, did it a couple of years ago was just seeing if anybody on here was going and maybe meet up over there. looking forward to doing it again, although i don't if i should get some 200mm forks for the down hills on the other days as i do have fox 36's but they are the old model with 140mm travel which is only just enough.

But deffo get something more than 140. Its a waste of a good bullit to have so little travel!

Marzocchi 66 would be perfect.

I was riding a Bullit up until 2months ago. I've had Pikes, Marzocchi 66's & Boxxers on it.

The Pikes felt too short & steep.  The Boxxers were bought for my trip to the alps last year.  They felt odd also.  Can't quite put my finger on it but it always felt like you had to throw your weight over the from of the bike to make it stick when cornering fast.

The 66's were perfect, I had 2007sl's which had travel adjust from 140-180mm.  It made for a really versatile bike which could be ridden pretty much anywhere at a push!

You should be able to pick a set of 66's up for very little as Marzocchi really seem to have fallen out of fashion.

I have  aset of 888s at 170mm, gold tops ( real ones from Itay) RCs.

would be v v good on a bullit.

i've seen that bike, at sheepskulls... you want that 66 *feel* with a a bit more stiffness?

yours for £140.

I wouldn't mind getting a set of 66's the travel adjust options would be handy. I know I don't need them for the PDS but for the tracks on the other days I need more bounce, might look into selling my fox and getting some 66's can't justify getting some extra forks just for 2-3 days riding as all the other riding I do is mainly cross country. The Bullit is an ace bike a bit heavy but worth it as it rides so well and easy to maintain.

Was that aimed at me or PeeWee?  If you meant me then no thanks... My Boxxers are now sat on the front of a Socom,  the bullit's sat in the garage until I decide what to do with it.

Thats a nice build... and yes it will be silly money from new!

I picked my frame up from ebay in february.  It seems at that time of year no one wants to buy big bikes.  2009 frame in perfect condition(until i dented it on my first day out) with ti spring, chris king headset, spare steel spring, rear axle & brand new wet scream tyre went for £620.  The rest of the bits came off my Bullit.

I need to get my arse in gear and have a bike bits sale...

I've at least 2 frames, 3 forks, a few brake sets, flat pedals &  a dozen or so tyres and god knows what else.

may even sell a whole bike as well....

Back from a great day at Moelfre. The track isn't particularly technical and no big drops or anything but it's quite long, very fast and open and in gorgeous scenery.

We started in torrential rain and a quagmire but then the track dried throughout the day until it was bone. The wind was problematic at the top - it's the only time I've crashed due to being blown off a bike. You really had to compress everything to keep any airtime to a minimum. From 1/4 way down the track the wind wasn't such an issue and you could open up again. There's a great middle section of bermed switchbacks, small jumps and a little drop off down to a road gap.

Quite different to other tracks I've ridden and I'd definitely go back.

Private uplift can also be arranged here so we'll probably be looking to organize a day in the near future.

Was also chuffed to see a red kite at the top of the hill, though it was being given a hard time by the local crows!

Nice one - spoke to that lad. From watching the video, he's pretty quick.

Video shows the bumps down to the road crossing well - from 1:29 until you jump the road you can't really brake and just have to point it and hang on - was quite entertaining when wet and you could barely see through your caked goggles :)

I think you'd enjoy it Jon, we should definitely get a ukb uplift sorted.
