Nerve problems in the outside of forearm
February 24, 2009, 02:00:16 pm
Has anyone any experience of having a vaguely sore, occasionally shooting nerve pain coming from the top of the forearm?  It's not on the elbow really, but beneath the muscle about an inch from where the arm bends. I'm pretty sure it's irriatated by using a mouse, as I often don't notice it when climbing outside. But it's got a bit worse recently and I am conscious of it warming up inside and when trying to pull very hard with that arm. I mentioned it in passing to a physio friend a month or so ago and he recommded some deep massage. I did use ice on it a bit and that seemed to help. Any advice/knowledge appreciated.

You sure it's not the brachioradialis?

Good info in links on this thread http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,10810.0.html

Think it's Tennis Elbow as picking up light stuff pinched between fingers and thumb hurts. Ah well, must be a couple of years now since I've been to a physio, so can't complain really  :'(
