Bummer with the job Matt. My dad managed to give himself one jumping off a flatbed lorry holding a bag of cement not his brightest moment. I seem to recall it was fixed with a minor procedure.

OMM,

I think it would have helped if you'd been given a better idea of timescale. This will have a bearing on the work situation too, I presume, so I hope they give you a good turn around. You'd think that, given the advice/diagnosis, it'll be dealt with more quickly.

Fingers crossed! You'll have to keep off the marathon front levers for a while  ;) Good luck with it. Good that some other things have been ruled out too.

What a bastard.

You had said you hadn't skied much this winter, got an excuse now! :)

Looks like Front Range has had a bit of a dump ready for weekend, those Keystone glades are calling.

That sucks Coops, sorry to hear.

Remember there's always something you can do with an injury, so maybe try to focus on that rather than what you can't.

That is frustrating. Can you get a surgeon to fix it or is a conservative approach considered better?

Conservative approach best I think. Don't think it's bad enough for surgery thankfully

Or, in this case, the lack of ups and downs...

A friends motorbike got stolen this week and he got the cctv Showing the van that stole it with its reg plate (no tax, no mot, but not registered as stolen).

I found a photo of the van on Facebook next to another van (which has had a recent mot test).

The people commenting on that photo - about driving the van used in the theft without tax/mot - are family members of some people doing time for bike theft (it’s amazing what you can find on Facebook and local court records).

So likely the same people who took this one and they are clearly still using the van on the same plates (photo from 6 months ago).

The photo was unfortunately posted by someone not using a full name though.

I think this info is being passed onto the police but I thought I’d rant on his behalf and see if there’s anything else that’s worth doing?

Got a £2k insurance excess so a completely shit situation to be in.

Preserve the Facebook material in case it gets deleted before the police get to it. Advise you friend to take a lower xs next time.

Got it all screenshotted now, thanks! It's a proper shit situation - also the bike was on finance so the payout would only cover that.

Lose bike, lose equity built up in the PCP over the last few years, lose excess.

Thieves are wankers.

Downclimb to new bouldering spot with DSLR in hand, one tricky step so hang it on shoulder step down and bump it with my knee as I step down. 30 ft drop into a shallow rockpool and my camera is fucked.

Plus side, new bouldering spot is fucking awesome.

That's the one. It's had a good innings. When can you leave :)

When was that BTW, was trying to work out how long I'd had it for.

Definitely a first world NNFN which is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things but... Just cancelled Asian honeymoon plans due to low likelihood of being able to travel there late summer - looking at closer opportunities now  :'(
