Mofos.
I was meaning that high blood pressure medicaments haven't hindered Filz's progress!
I understand it's a pain in the ass. But being weak is a bigger pain in the ass, if you get what I mean.

Been taking meds for high blood pressure for over 2 years now, linked to other health issues.Nibs is spot on with his comments above.
Personally I found the psychological side of having to take medication difficult-at first.I felt old all of a sudden.Once I'd got this straight in my head,I would say things have got much better.Good luck!

Oh fuck. Sore red rash suddenly appeared this afternoon around a tick bite from two weeks ago. Lyme's?

Off to the doc tomorrow.

Yes get it looked at... Whenever had tick bites they've swelled up fast then gone in a week or ten days... Which I think is my body's reaction to the bite not lymes (this happens to me with other bites too..)

Possibly a question a bit late to ask now, but did you keep the dead tick? Useful for testing for a diagnosis.

No, unfortunately. Never occurred to me; I've removed load of ticks before and never had a readon to worry afterwards. Until now.

Apparently its the best way - as you have to wait a few weeks before taking any lymes tests... whereas on the beastie itself they can tell faster. THough being bitten by one with it doesnt mean you'll get it etc..

In the UK you post your dead ticks for analysis, if you can be bothered.

Thanks. It's the first time I've ever had any kind of trouble following a tick bite, so was worried. I didn't realise that for it to look like Lyme's the red ring has to actually move around, not just grow.

Though bear in mind for anyone else reading that the target shaped rash appears for 80% of cases (as in for some it doesn't)..

(but glad it wasnt in your case..)

I've read in a few places that this could be quite an under-estimate since it is much more likely that cases will be "missed" when the rash is not present...

Either way - don't assume "no rash = no Lymes".  I'd say, if you have had a tick bite and start to feel shitty but have no rash - definitely inform the doc!

Yep. Different strategies needed on Dartmoor Granite; what goes first, the problem, or your skin. Love it.

Moved back from Spain a week and a half ago, back to rain and political shit. Had a big bust-up with my family, before ripping a fridge-sized block off a local sport route (which missed me) and getting a deep cut along the full length of my shoulder blade. Needed 8 stitches, and I'm in the middle of at least a week of zero exercise. Plus, my collateral ligament seems to have got worse, so my only activity at the moment is intensive physio.

I'm on my third season of Game of Thrones in three months, and I'm feeling borderline depressed.

Self-pity over.  :boohoo:

The last few sessions at eatswood I have been punting the final moves on the Reverse but took punterdom to a new level today.

Got to the end of the traverse fresh and had my right hand on the ledge and then did the cross through with the left arm to match on the ledge but instead of going over my right arm I somehow managed to punch my right wrist instead and promptly fell off.

 :slap:

Got to the same point afterwards but pumped out. Oh well - progress of sorts.  :(

Nooooooooooooo!

So close, I felt your pain. Utter dejection.

Had a similar experience tonight on a 7c+ route I've been trying lately. Got through the crux to punt-out on a not very hard move. Next 3 goes failed lower down, goddamit!

Note to self. Don't watch videos of Shark climbing, until you've finished eating what you've got in your mouth..

Absolutely priceless.
