Sorry to hear that!
On the other hand, think yourself lucky that your bike rides normally! Mine is giving me some troubles, damn 2 stroke engines... The previous owner changed the jets and min/max settings of the carburetor, so I had to take it to the doctor's for the second time in two weeks...
Hoping that it's just the carburetor and not something else...

2stroke = trouble + fun
4stroke = less trouble + less fun

:)

Na...
2 stroke = Quick of the mark and lots of noise.
4 stroke = Still pretty fucking quick off the mark, slightly quieter and quicker top speed...

:D

Hope you get it sorted soon though! Does sound like its the carb if he just fiddled with the jets...

A minor nnfn.

Not got out since last Wednesday - and just pulled up at Curbar only to realise all my mats are not in the car but back in Manchester.

Back around...

(It's a bit damp anyway ;) )

Amazing how we all used to cope fine without pads circa ten years ago. We've got soft.

Ten years? More like 20! And yes, that's because we now break when he hit the ground instead of bouncing.

Yup. I'm not young any more. It was pretty wet underfoot and the only towel substitute I had in the car was my down jacket. Decided against it. Anyway - now out at Hobby moor. Amongst the broken glass and school parties... ;)

Yeah it helps if you land with both feet on them.

I'm not complaining though. Smashing my heel to bits has turned out to be one of the luckiest things I've ever done.

Today I booked an MR to assess the damage I did to my knee, with the National Health Service.
I'll have it on August the 29th. At 9 am.

Cheers guys! It seems that I'll have to look for some private doctor if I want to do it sooner...
Extension is ok but flexion is not, and the more flexed it is, the less power I can apply.
Anyway, I'll be serious for a change: I like to blog about not needing rock, being happy with just training, and that's true, but because it's been a choice, so far. Now the idea of not being able to run uphill sprints, or to jump off from a 2 meters tall boulder while terrified by the topout, or to heel-hook my way up a project, really makes myself uncomfortable.
Now, where's my bicep curl bar?

Traversing... it becomes more and more attractive the older and less repairable you become!
(I bet Shark has reconstructed the eatswood traverse in his new house extension...)

Ok... I was alerted to some posts on the public Facebook forum "Spotted Torquay" by a friend. And found this:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/oldmanmatt/13909171933/

To the Leagle Eagles on here, do I have to accept this harassment?
Since he posted it publicly, is it fair for me to share/comment?

So... Young mister B, plead guilty and was given a 10 month referral order and ordered to pay me £250 compensation + costs+£50 fine.

And then promptly moved to the Rep. of Ireland, to live with an Aunt, to avoid his sentence...

Bit of a NNFN, came off my bike yesterday...

Had just picked it up from getting a service and new front tyre. First fucking roundabout I got to, the front slid out at about 40kmh. Mashed my knee into the road and I followed the bike head first into the gutter on my arse, managing to avoid hitting my head and stopped my slide.

Chewed through the knee of kevlar jeans but the arse is in better shape than expected! Armoured leather jacket, boots and gloves took abit of a beating but are all fine. My knee is pretty sore and stiff with some deep road rash.

Damage to the bike is mainly cosmetic thankfully. Couple of parts needed to make it rideable again then its all just fairing replacement. Hopefully have it back on the road within a few weeks. Already ordering replacement parts from the states...

Here's some photos from the side of the road after I wheeled it off (couldn't start it).

Unlucky mate. Friend of mine did almost exactly the same thing on his Bandit.
