Hope she gets better soon DaveC. I think it's too dangerous walking in Aus, everytime someone goes into to bush they seem to get stranded or injured. (Disclaimer my entire experience of australian wilderness comes from Neighbours and home and away)

Log Weather.

I've had all of this week off, and not been able to get out.. going off to the lakes this afternoon - looks like wall to wall drizzle forecast (and so the webcams show) so I'm off to the wall again this lunchtime and probably wont get while we're up there. Toss. The waves of weather fronts pushing rain across the UK seem to have been replaced by stagnant dampness. Come on 'im upstairs, sort it out!

Grrrr...

All may not be lost in the Lakes. I've been out working today a mere stones throw from Carrock and there was no rain in sight! Still a tad damp under foot but dry (ish). I can keep you posted as the weekend progresses.

Cheers Golt, I had a decent ish session on a 70% wet Langdale boulders.. Rest tomorrow out Sunday.. Drizzle was the enemy today, no real wind to dry things fast enough.. Bits of kentmere were prob OK looking up valley driving past..

Girlfriend decided to try climbing with some other 'climbing girlfriends'. Fell of at matrix and dislocated and broke her ankle.... She now thoroughly hates climbing...

Hurt my foot playing football just before Christmas, was hoping it would be better by now so decided to get a scan. Yup, broken my index toe. Putting on normal shoes hurts like buggery so I can't even think about rock shoes.

Lost the skin on my knuckles working blockbuster way back in 2005. Let it heal went back, did exactly the same thing and couple of weeks later. Got cross did it next go before they became too swollen. Vowed to never do the problem again
Went to Caley today, most stuff was wet, except for Blockbuster. Pulled on, casually locked off the crimp, smiled to myself how about how much stronger I am now...then...not a-fucking-gain! That'll learn me. Cocky, foolish man.

Do you know when you did scaphoid? At the same time. It's not one to take lightly as part of the bone can die if it isn't set straight away or doesn't mend properly.

I checked with my wife - radiologist with a sub-specialty interest in skeletal radiology - MRI used to be better. However the newer super multi-slice scanners are making CT the preferred mode now. It may depend on what your local hospital has available for a scan.

Four weeks away from my first climbing trip in over 2 years and something hurts after the wall today.

More specifically, I have a little sore patch just down from crease in ring finger PIP joint and off to the side, so not quite classic A2 pulley area but damn near it. It hurts to touch, but did another problem before stopping- no pain while climbing (Broughton) $:-\$ $:-\$

Anyone experienced anything similar? And how long before it mended if so? Thanks!
