Cheers, looks like the rest of the route might fall down this winter now. 

Strangely it was my fingers caught up in the rope that did it, can't work out how, but rock landed a good few metres away and not a huge amount of flying debris.

Only reinforces my caution around loose rock.

Haven't touched rock (apart from the stuff i build with at work) for over 2 months! Last night I was driving to Leeds finally for a week at least of climbing when my (borrowed) car broke down. Queue 6 hours in a wet field in Lincolnshite waiting for rescue. Fuck this!

Someone dried my Moon Asp pants in the tumble dryer after a wash - to about 2000*C.    There are cooler industrial kilns than our dryer it would appear, judging by the reduced dimensions of my winter bouldering pants.

Just having one of the shittiest days. Email first thing saying a good friend's dad passed away overnight, without ever meeting his new granddaughter (she lives overseas), looks like things might not be going so smoothly with house purchase, getting messed around at work, will probably be here until 10 thanks to other people doing things last minute which meens I have to sort it all into a presentable format, weather is fucking awful and set to remain so until after Xmas, had to leave Xmas lunch early yesterday, sober due to work demands, fucking knackered due to being kept awake last night by howling winds. And worst of all the net result of all this is I have that fucking Coldplay Christmns Lights song going round in my where it goes "It doesn't feel like Christmas at all" because of all of the above.

Quiet relaxing Christmas fortnight off has gone a bit pear-shaped. The mrs had a fall out walking this morning and has knocked herself about quite a bit (cut & bruised knees, sprained wrist, broken finger, some bad grazing on her face). I'll be on nursing duty for a few days by the look of it. The part that really fucks me off is that two people walked right past and made no attempt to offer help, she had to get herself back up on the path and get home on her own. I'm afraid not untypical behaviour in Australia these days -  did I say that out loud?.
