my doc says im a bit unusual but because one of my kidneys doesnt work to well im not getting rid of enough uric acid which is then crystallizing in my joints. most people get it in there toes or feet but ive had it in my ankles, knees and now pretty sure my back(feels the same). usually stays under control if i drink plenty of water and watch my diet but been a bit lazy last few weeks.

Hope its died down a bit now. I've just had the one bad bout in the standard big toe the winter before last. Only had the odd twinge and ache since then.

NNFN first session out on my board for about a month, short period jacking walls, punchy shifting beach break, cross shore chop, only caught 2 waves in an hour and a half and lost half my tail pad  :slap:

at least i didn't put a hole in the tail of my board on the pumphouse boulder reef like last time i was there :boohoo:

Iesu - Rule#1 ... Never complain about going surfing when the rest of us are sat at work chained to our desks!  :spank:

Oh well, might be something else about... The stinky bay looked good this morning, as I peered at it mournfully on the way to the chaining.

I decided to have a round of golf (rare occurrence) and on the first swing my elbow started hurting  :-\  So I carried on anyway... and now my thumb also hurts in conjunction with my elbow and it's not fading away  :'(

I can't believe I've got injured from swinging a golf club once, I think I'll go back to emulating Daniel Woods instead of Tiger Woods, it seems much safer.

Less than 48 hours to assessment. No sleep in essentially two weeks and it's getting worse. I need to find something from somewhere. Can you get herbal things or otherwise to stay awake?

coffee, sugar. Dont forget to eat. If you hit a stone wall in one task (or part of one task) do something different and come back to it.

I'd go for a short spell climbing, have a beer and fall asleep in front of the telly for a few hours then get up fresh and you'll work twice as well as before. But it sounds like thats not an option given the time left. DONT do what my house mate did during finals and do a load of speed and stay up all night revising - then to freeze up in the exam.

Remember in 48 hours you can relax - light at end of tunnel etc..

TomTom, surely advocating doing a load of speed and NOT staying up all night revising is lunacy??

Lecturers....

Eat the coffee, snort the coke. Don't forget to get tooled up for the exam, 'cos on the off-chance you don't do as well as you'd expect, take as many of those muthafuckah's with you as you can.

Top bit has dried out and is flapping around, just removed it - not as bad as it originally looked, just need to be careful when chopping chillis.

NNFN : 'Someone' glued over a hold on a project I'm trying rendering a good 4 finger edge useless. Bloody annoying.  :wall:
If anyone sees me at the crag with a file and small chisel / hammer combo please don't shout at me or threaten to lamp me.
