I thought the same thing, but opted not to comment as it'd make me look like an unfeeling bastard

Unfortunately it had my mates pedals attached to it

On the bright side, should be getting a tidy sum from the insurance so will be able to :alky: my sorrows in to submission.

 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
my much awaited november uk invasion has just been cancelled, before even starting to sort things out.
I will have to run three different courses in  novemeber, so that's no point in even asking.
this really sucks.
any suggestion for a good weather window in 2011, for both grit and lime?

There seems to be a real lack of decency and honour between people when they buy houses... when I sold mine the people fucked me about until the last min (including forcing a last gasp 2k reduction)... my sympathies Webbo...

these cunts have bought our house 3 times but the chain broke down with their buyers.we set a date for the 5/10/10 but that wasn't ok but they said that wasn't acceptable so we settled for the 15th only to be told today that was too far away so they were pulling out.we then find they've had an offer accepted on another place on the otherside of the village.
anybody got any suggestions on how to back at them other than telling the rest of the village they've cost us about £1500 and how they ostracise them.

Find out what house they are buying and tell the sellers. At worst you'll be doing someone some good out of the whole thing...
Failing that a turd in a jiffy bag might work wonders  :)

they are aware but i guess they are unlikely to give up on a sale.this is not only a pisser for our family but it means i will no longer be buying up all the spare boards in the east riding to turn the double garage at the new gaff in a premier training venue.

Went to the local bouldering wall (TCA Bristol) for the first time today after a summer spent climbing outside.  Got thrashed by the problems, a complete amateur punterish performance, by my mate who I  first took climbing about a year ago and to add insult to injury got seven flappers (two on one finger!). NNFN!

My right big toe has been feeling a bit more strange and hurty for the last 6 months. Last night it erupted into a full-on gout attack  :furious:

Woke me up with shooting burning pains interspersed with toothachey throbbing; couldn't even cope with the duvet touching it.

Diclofenac made it possible to get socks and shoes on this morning (at least I didn't have to go to work in socks'n' sandals) and has continued to make my limp a bit less pathetic.

Worst of all; I had a good chance of getting out on grit this afternoon. Won't be getting any bouldering done for a while  :'(

Won't that just mask the pain? You doing anything else to get rid of it, diet wise etc?

Fell off Archangel and muntered my foot, cue lots of NNFN. On the YYFY side, some rather pleasant people helped me down and gave me a lift to the train station, and word from the doc is its not broken.

Lost a stone and a half since the last gout session. Drinking more moderately than at any time since I started climbing. Stopped taking Allopurinol a while back and uric acid levels have stayed low.

About 2 years last time - but that felt like a midge bite to start with and slowly built up. This time feels like a totally different event. I hope that a quick onset of high pain means a quick subsidence of pain.

Feeling loads better and am still one tablet below the max daily dose.

One good thing about it is that the drugs stop me feeling any finger pain, so have had a great finger board session whilst cooking tea

There's loads of other random things that are believed to contribute, worth a bit of googling. Hope it clears up anyway.

i got crystallization gout for almost all of last year on and off and couldnt do any exercise due to joints flaring up, gained about three stone and now its coming off again. i now drink a litre and a half bottle of water everyday at work and that has really helped. doc thinks i have one kidney thats not to efficient so thats why i got it at such a young age. its also hereditary and both grandads and dad get it, so worth seeing if it runs in the family. diet is usually only a very small part of it and is actually a bit of a myth.

50mg Dicklofenac three times a day has made a HUGE difference. No longer limping and can actually bend my toe. The under side of the toe is still v painful to touch, but nothing like it was. Feeling rather YYFY even though I won't be able to wear proper rock shoes on my birthday  :'(   :'(

fucked up my right ankle again, yesterday. nothing serious (my legaments are already broken) but I can't climb (and I can't do more beastmaker than I already do). BORING AS HELL.
the real NNFN is that before getting injured I climbed like una merda.
