I got a text from RB, where you guys at Floors Craig? All a bit steep there TBH, and the rock often feels a bit cold and greasy, esp when the haar has been in like it was earlier today. If it's any concession, I backed off Right Hook last time I was there.

Chris, yeah that's the bugger (the crag not RB), I was gonna pop in too. Aye and it was a bit cold and greasy still, not a lot of haar but still suboptimal. My main issue is dealing with the steepness / blindness / placing gear quickly / committment required etc etc  god I'm boring myself now. Anyway I will keep trying, I want to like it there....

It was pretty clagy first thing, but probably burned off by mid morning. I think Floors Craig gets a lot of sea spray as it's pretty deep water just off the sea platform so if there is any rough seas it gets the full forces of it, and is often greasy as a result. Worth saving for a sunny morning. And yes, the climbing of often a bit steep and blind. Get back soonish, the winged devils can make the platforms a shit fest.

Apparently South Cove is in good nick right now, Pete Wisthal ticked Lunatic Fringe (E7) last week, and the E5s next door are apparently clean and in good nick.

I have broken myself.  Fell off soloing on Saturday, dislocated my finger and pushed the bone through the front on my hand.  No climbing for a couple of months, during which time I'm gonna get fat, weak(er) and very, very bored.  And just when I was feeling fit and keen for the trad season.

I was thinking about this (one handed training, not wanking).  Given that I not strong enough to do one handed hangs on a finger board, I'm not sure what I could do other than problems on sector 4 at Broughton and maybe feet-on laddering/snatching up and down a campus board.  Any thoughts?

Maybe have a strap around the bad hand's wrist so you can pull with that arm, but then the good hand on the fingerboard, and as you get stronger, increase the length of the sling, so you pull less with the fucked arm.

That's the best bit. You never waste time getting stronger fingers, and you rarely see people bouldering seriously on that sector, for one simple reason: the problems are hard.

NNFN, I was being careful with my finger but obviously not careful enough. It went from bad to worse last week and is now exhibiting A2 and collateral injury symptoms.
Annoyingly my other hand is exhibiting dupuwhathisface so puntering on jugs isn't much fun either.
