If it's not part of the block then it's out, but I think there is a decent 1-2 inch deep by 4-5 inch wide foothold before the top out.

I suppose we did have headtorches so I should've seen that, but I couldn't see anything by that point. I was almost campussing the slopey lip traverse!

There is a left finish, and it's a grade harder. I've never been sure whether it goes straight up or diagonally left. Anyone know?

The standard version is probably 7B.

Cheers for all the suggestions guys, just had 30 minutes there and confirmed I wasn't missing anything, I just can't reach the crimp off that foothold.  Looks like I'll just have to continue slapping straight up, I'm sure I'll stick it sooner or later.

Another alternative to the edge, or slapping up, and the way I find easiest, is to get a right backhand in the corner and reach over the top with my left hand to the big slopers. Nice and static, but not everyone's cup of tea.

Australia bites back- literally! After making it down to the Grampians & starting to feel like a climber again I have been bitten on the finger by some critter & am having to go to the hospital every 12 hours for antibiotics. Nice......

If they aren't producing annoying singers or collapsing our economy they are grounding our aircraft. So inconsiderate.

Shit isn't it. Family were supposed to be meeting in Ghent this weekend but at this rate only half of us will make it, not including the people who were paying for it either

This was put up on a gruniard blog:

Damn Nature and its inconsiderate timing!  Plus its going to pump a tonnes more CO2 into the atmosphere which is not what the earth needs at the moment.  Why can't the geophysicisits have done something about this already and capped all volcanoes so that we can control the release of pressure from the earths core and use it effectively.  :P

Exactly, I mean how are we supposed to take better care of the planet if it can't even look after itself! Trying to transfer blame onto the geophysicisits for not capping in time is a little underhand in my opinion  :P

Yup, we're all wankers. You'll all be better off using this lady. I make up all my results down the pub anyway....

Take the month's cash, and then live the dream on the ropes. You know it makes sense  ;)
