Interesting news report on how wireless networks might be compromised by worms.

You should at the very least...

  • Change the default password
  • Enable MAC filtering to only allow specific MAC address' to connect
  • Limit the total number of DHCP leases to reflect the number of devices that connect to your router in your house
  • Consider enabling WEP2 > WEP > WPA
  • If your firmware allows it then disable remote access to the router so that it can only be accessed from computers on the internal network

Obviously how to do this will be dependant on your router and the firmware its running.
