I'm not sure about the guinea pigs; I had two when I was wee and they were a bit crap really, they do make good noises though and have good toes.  Some people really rate them so I reckon they should be allowed on the thread, more so than Richard Gere.
I don't think the picture of RG was any reference to him being at all cute, more what he is reputed to have done with small furry creatures?

He ate them   ;)

I'm going to pretend he ate them, I do not need to be thinking about him doing that kind of shit with rodents, thank you very much.

Things are getting a little  :off: here I refer you to the above, works for me; think of it as a Dogme for the thread.

Its the way you can tell that the kitten is looking at the at the baby mouse and thinking "I don't know what our relationship is meant to be...yet." that endears this photo to me: innocence on the cusp of realisation.

LOL, indeed. The mouse looks like it's vaguely wondering the same in it's little mouse brain. Or maybe hoping the kitten doesn't work it out too soon...

I can't believe you've all been suckered in by that hugging lion. Surely it's just picking it's moment to strike. People who don't treat big dangerous critters like that with a bit of respect get what's coming to them. Anybody read about the fella who let the massive anaconda type snake loose around his house. He kept on waking up with it lying next to him on the bed. He mentioned it to the vet next time he saw him. As it turns out snakes do this while their prey are sleeping to see if they are big enough to consume them yet  :o

:google:

I feel a bit of a chump now http://www.snopes.com/critters/snakes/measured.asp

However, treating things bigger than you with sense still stands.

He LOVES her though, Will!!  He wanted squeezed, you can tell.  I am tempted to punter you for being so cynical at such a young age.  :spank:

I love the wee deer on the beach, white fluffy bum!  I can't see the other ones on this page cause of my work filter but I'll check them later from home.

i am glad that it is you that mentions the white fluffy bum rather than some of the others on this thread.

I had a very disturbing conversation this morning with one of this threads regulars.

I can only imagine Graeme, it's probably best that way anyway.   ???

I can see the rest of the pictures now, god-dog is very sweet, the confused kitten and friends are fabulous, I love that the tiny dog is so bored on the photoshot he's having a wee nap.   Joe, you have skills on this thread.

Cool cats there!

Only in America would they try to train cats and have classes on how to clip their claws, absolute muppets, still if they want to waste their money...

On a lighter note, a kitten was rescued

They're not even doing the claw cutting properly, idiots.   ::)   No issues with cats and training here, I do pretty much whatever they tell me, it works fine.  ;)

The man rescuing the cat!  He's so nice and gentle with it.  Bless.   :-[

Why would you clip a cats claws?

Saves the furniture, and also each other as they tend to have quite vicious fights with each other.  Also when they're kneading affectionality they can get a little over-zealous.

We only let our mog scratch in specific places and he pretty much keeps to that. He very kindly retracts his claws when making bread :)

I do mine for the same reasons as Slack, mine are indoor cats too (I know, it's unnatural and cruel) so they get really long and sharp, despite them having a whole sofa to scratch on, conviniently located beside their (apparently not actually meant for) scratching post.  ::)  They maul each other, and me, and get stuck to things if left too long, like velcro kitties.

when making bread :)
Mine make biscuits
