Do any of you fine gentlemen know of any cheap cars being sold by any of your dear acquaintance's.  Sub £200 (yes I know 200 notes dont buy you much these days but I am comletely skint).  I need it to go forwards and backwards and that is about it  .  Any help will be much apreciated.
Cheers

you could try going to a car auction, sometimes cars get sold there for like £5 or something daft like that, if you're not choosey.

Well my mate been looking for mini under £300 for ages but in the end he bought mini for £1000

A word of advise, don't get mini under £500, usually they are rough as badger's arse and bit keep falling out.

Re Mini's - keep an eye on the bottom of the door sills, they rust like buggery. If you can find a sound one it'd be ideal, dirt cheap parts and to insure and you can mod them easily too.

Plus, they corner like a Lancia Delta integrale on steroids and you feel like you're doing 100 when you're actually only doing 30!

I am going to go and see some of my friends at the garage this morn.  a few of them have minis so may be able to point me in the right direction.  I might also go and look at the auction in derby later.  do they run every day?

Car Auction (BCA)
Raynesway, Derby,
Derbyshire, DE21 7WA
PHONE:(01332) 666 111
FAX:(01332) 660 186

I think there is different type of auction everyday - phone them to find out which day is the best.

Check the boot and the foot wells and all - they tend to rust a lot as well.

classic car insurance is piss cheap (like seriously £50 a year, but soemone will be able to clarify), mainly cos its almost impossible to speen in a morris minor, but also cos if you've got a classic car you'll be extra carefull not to trash it.

of course it may not be a great idea since fixing them when they break would be dear, and old cars eat petrol (leaded) like its going out of fashion (which is it).

I think if your car is more than 20 years old and got classic status and the insurance will be dirt cheap.

Don't bother with big name insurance - go for someone like Footman James or other small classic car specialist.

Cool - so you can insure an E-Type which goes 150mph for about twenty notes? Nice.

I've been quoted TVR 3000M (1977) 3.0 powered by Ford Essex V6 on fibreglass body which goes like a stink, on classic car insurance for £190

Sorry Bubba - they are certainly Subaru beater !!

Wait for it - I was 19 that time.

Not enough apparantly !!

You can get Cerbera for the price of Scooby nowsday and I have alway been with TVR since I was toddler. Last Tiv I have driven was 390SE, boy what a noise !!

Have driven Griffith 500 (what a beast), Tuscan Speed 6 and Cerbera 4.2 but alway wanted to own ultimate Cerbera 4.5 LW RR.

I thought I'd try and race a Griffith (4.5) in my old E36 325i. Bad move. He sort of pissed off into the distance in a big way.

Yeah, Griffith is a beast. They is another Tiv I would consider too - my wife wanted a soft top sport car.

The one I drove was Griffith 500 and most of boy racer (Cossie, Ren 5 GT-turbo etc) seem to race with me. How I laugh when I see their face when I gunned it.
