Single handily keeping the cycling  industry of South Yorkshire & further afield in business - Fatdoc. Four different forks in 9 months on one frame is an achievement along with changing virtually every other component on his pride & joy. I am so glad he is now happy with his 'finished' bike.

Best nu-probleming / discovering: tie between andi turner + mirf - thumbelina + cornelius

Great discoveries yes, but one was last year and both were headpointed and given route grades. If you're after a bouldering highlight it should be the general reappraisal of such routes in the last 12 months. I predict some big things coming soon...

I think we should decide on the best picture in that thread for 2008.

If I was to commend anyone on anything and especially as they might easily fly under the radar, I'd have to say that Nigel and Somebody's Fool have written a number of compelling, succint and profound posts.

Biggest forum wad: james, for the foresight and the courage to expose himself, and obviously uncle

Best bouldering ascent: dolph, brad pit sitter, a historical feat

Best nu-probleming / discovering: dunno.

Services to climbing community: blubba!

Best bouldering media contribution: dunno

Most stimulating climbing debate: haston ones but also the repeats/grades/team america/ethic ones

Services to humour: houdini

General forum contribution: too many

Best signature: dunno, but thinking about it, again houdini, mostly because of the criminology and psychiatric issues that his signature provokes in me. jeffrey dhamer, especially. i shiver. all this in a bouldering forum...

One of Nige's finer pieces of work, for example:

That stood out in my mind too Kim. I don't think it was '08 but the seminal campus piece also ranks highly.

Fuck the waddage; how about some free Works time booze?

If we were to have a fittest bird photo debate, I think it would be best conducted on that thread and the result posted on this one - I can't remember how or why I reached this decision, but it sounds right.

But honour accepted. What do I win, a bottle of 1983 Hermitage La Chapelle. Me and Joe had a bottle not that long ago, did we tell you about it. No. Tough  ;D

Might have a 1986 La Chapelle at Christmas. Got 2 of them. Must remember to decant it though. I'll tell Joe what it's like.
