The Edge Bouldering League
October 02, 2003, 10:13:37 am
The Edge Bouldering League will take place at The Edge Climbing Centre in Sheffield starting on Friday 16th January, 2004. This event has consistantly proved to be one of the most popular bouldering leagues in the UK, and the coming events should be very well attended. This seasons events will be sponsored by RockSport, La Sportiva and Arc Teryx and there will be lots of nice prizes for entrants. The league will have four rounds, with dates in February, March and April to be announced shortly. As usual competitors best three scores will count in the final rankings. For more details, contact Percy Bishton at The Edge   percy@sheffieldclimbing.com

Round 1 is this Friday. Sessions start at 1630 and 1900. 20 problems from V0 to V9 to try in 2 hours, and all for a fiver. Can't say fairer than that.

Results will be up tomorrow. Haven't got round to emailing them to Bubba yet 'cos I've been too busy re-setting the wall. However, full results due Tuesday am! (probably....)

OK folks, Round 2 of the Edge bouldering league is this Friday.

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS IS FRIDAY THE 13TH  :ev:

Now I don't normally get out of bed on Friday the 13th, due to my strongly superstitious nature, but seeing as I have to set the problems I shall soldier on and hope nothing awful happens!

Sessions at 1630 and 1900 as normal. Last round was your easy warm-up - now you will need to come prepared to bear down.............and the Gawthorpe is back in town too

God help you all...........
See you Friday!

Sent the results to Dobbin, but they never made it onto this site 'cos Bubba was away somewhere, or sommat......

The full results are up in the Edge, but I will put the updated scores on here after the next round (so early next week then!)

Friday the 13th or not, however, Gaz and Steve Mac will not be getting a clean sheet in round two if I have anything to do about it......
Where did I put my 'crack' volumes.......

I have a strange sense of foreboding about this afternoon. Images of McLure's faceplant and Greshams foot jamming near death experience are racing through my mind.

Percy did indeed send me the results, shamelessly requested for my own gratification. If anyone has any bright ideas regards how I can dispose of the 8 people who bettered my (I thought quite good) score I will pay!

Percy - its called a Crack Pipe these days, not a volume. Bloody old timers.

No danger of the results I'm afraid, but they are up in the Edge. Final results will find their way onto here though, I'm sure.

Now, listen up.........

Tomorrow (Friday 19th March) is the last round of this series of competitions.
It will be the best comp. so far this year, due to the imaginative yet dirty problems I have devised for you. As it will be a wet weekend, I thought I might cheer you all up by devising a problem that uses a BUTTOCK JAM!

You have been warned!!!

See you all there!

Fuck! I should enter if there's a buttock jam involved - my big ole' ass will be perfect - I've found my niche at last
