‎"I didn't climb the route for the grade."

Right On Katy!

(Though I'd have preferred 'I didn't climb the route for a grade', its a bit more dismissive.)

(And how does Hazel manage to be touring the ski resorts and sport crags of France whilst doing this?)

Yes but the real question is, were you using a pad when you were soloing at the Roaches and ignoring Dave Thomas??

Good ascent, good report, good acknowledgement of mat usage, good interview, and good comments from you on UKC, JB.

I don't think "climbing stuff NOT for the grade" will catch on though  :doubt:

The keen but not so youthful anymore youth has done Mind Control 8c+ at Oliana 3rd go up the route. Interestingly Gabri Moroni comments on his scorecard 'everyone knows its only 8c really'. He's a brave man with all the ladies crusing up it. Knee to the gonads perhaps. Ondra didn't downgrade it so it must be reasonably tricky!

It was moist when he did it though! first time.

"With Mind Control in the bag, I moved on to my planned "long term project" in the form of Esclatamasters at the little visited cliff of Perles..."

Watched these ascents, very impressive. Michelle got pretty close to flashing it before doing it second go.

not to be trusted the outcrop twitter - nick brown is so hungry he cant see the keys right. He probably meant Ned has been promised his brown wings by Michela

Anyway, they did it with pads, so it doesn't count.

Is that dirt on the ceiling? Get me the Dyson!

Sorry this is a total punter question.

I don't understand the hoover the ceiling comments. Feeling a bit stupid, but could someone illuminate me please.

Thanks.

I was wondering whether it was common knowledge (ie posted on 'tinterweb) that someone claimed to have seen someone else hoovering their ceiling, or whether all references were by people who were there at the time. I wasn't there, but have been told by someone who was there - and know that the alleged hooverer does like a tidy house.

Is there no privacy in S7?

I hoovered the ceiling of the room that Dense used to live in on Sunday. Nothing to be ashamed of. How else do people get rid of cobwebs? Feather dusters?

get rid of cobwebs

Jesus Christ, JB!

What kind of heartless nature-hater are you?

How else do people get rid of cobwebs? Feather dusters?

you know full well that using any sort of aid to reach from the floor makes for an invalid cleaning session, let alone using a power tool

I think it's an oblique way of disowning his obsessive/retentive observations.

ps Only Dobbin is allowed to be oblique  :jab:
