Holds advice needed
December 04, 2008, 12:40:19 pm
Hi Team

managed to sort out a budget to revamp a small bouldering wall, what hold manufacturers should I stay clear of? I've set with and climbed on all kinds of holds from old wager slopers to some of the new bleaustone and entreprise stuff. I want to invest in some quality slopers, nasty pinches and crimps for some test peice setting.

Through being familiar with Entreprise and Bleaustone I may well stick with them but there is a lot of other companies out there.

My budget is around £500 but hopefully will stretch to some more, just don't want to end up with holds that look good on interweb but in reality turn out to be play doh.

Plus who makes good volumes?

Cheers

I have been climbing some Bleaustone slopers and they are lovely, very lovely.

I have some holdz holds in my garage. they seem very good but i have only had them for about 2 weeks so i dont know quite how good they are.
I also have some metolius screw-ons which seem good but seem to crack or break very easily.
