Peak Wed and/or Thurs?
December 02, 2008, 03:16:54 pm
Instead of texting everyone who might be up for it I thought I'd try this section of the board, so here goes:

Anyone fancy heading out tomorrow (Wed) and or Thurs? preferably peakwards, i'm fairly open as to the destination. Currently I have a car although I got a worrying email saying that the other half had spun it off a roundabout this morning so it may be a little dodgy.
 :spank:
Either reply, pm or text if you have that capability.

I'll be out, forecast looks mint. I take it you're up for pushing the limits of highballing on some esoteric insecure slabs?

Was out today, getting hot aches at Higgar.
If school's closed again tomorrow will be out  again although forecast looks worryingly fine. A good snowfall on weds night should do the trick, so will post if can get out thursday. Have fun
Jon

Aiming to get out to a good crag (ie in yorkshire) tomorrow but might end up in the dirty peak depending on worms temperament and or conditions

Sorry Paul just a jokey (and somewhat obtuse it would seem) reference to our ongoing series of different viewpoints regarding:
Training
The Works
Vitamin/Protein supplements
etc

In reality I'm sure we would get along famously. I can't imagine having anything but a spectacular time with a man who is willing to paint himself green. Busy tomorrow but would be interested to hear your Thursday scheme?

I thought the school had closed permanently and the boards were in storage.............oh hang on you mean a school, note the school.

Damn it why can't I find a job that allows me to take random days of to go climbing!!!  Maybe I should go and do a Phd instead of working, would also allow plenty of  :pissed: (although that might not sit too well with the climbing).

supply teaching

Weather looks grim tomorrow   .... gotta be optimistic, cos if the little dears can't go to lessons, their teachers can go climbing!
Will post if snow stops school opening, tomorrow morning. Lift available from S Manc if so.
cheers all

Give me a ring if you're out tomorrow afternoon, Jon. I can't be sure, but I think I'll be around somewhere if its dry(ish).

no doubt someone will have had a fantastic day (Varian at the tor) but the weather wasn't good today, meltwater or ice causing problems on the boulders, conditions generally poor in and out of the sun for different reasons.
I'm off to the foundry in 5.

Your raindance seems to have worked, the white stuff is disappearing from Sheffield City Centre (although is probably still falling on the hills).

Bullocks! Don't know what the snow-dance routine is, will have to do some research. Don't suppose the friction at Burbage is too hot now and have the worst of all possible worlds: school's closed due to slush engulfing the site, grit closed due to rain engulfing the peak. Shall go to Longland's to eat cake and then check out bouldering at the Tor (taking rope just in case). If all else fails , there's Broughton  :)
