recomend me some good toilet literature, obviously I've read every guide book I own cover to cover many many times so am after something new.

purely selected problems - not a guide in the traditional sense just a nice selection of a dozen or so nice problems of varing styles and grades in each area, no use if you live in the forset but if you're only there for a couple of weeks a year and don't have local knowledge

I never really got bog reading. I generally sit down, poo and wipe in too short a time to get any serious reading done. Is this what happens to you when you get old?

Usually read German womens mags.   Or graffiti along the lines of:  wantsuk u fuc 0897 3421 9863; or God bless the axe-wound that never heals; more you rub it the better it feels; you can wash it w/ soap you can scrub it w/ soda - but you'll never get rid of the John West odour.

I need something short and sweet as I'm a squatter AKA Busby (feet on seat)-type.  Not the best position for reading (though for number#2's it's the shit).

That reminds me of a female friend who was using this approach over the drop-toilets at Glastonbury.  She forgot that a) no one could tell she was in the cubicle as her legs weren't showing under the door and perhaps more importantly b) there were no locks on the door.

Only a small amount of dignity was lost.

Really?? I thought it was THE LAW to never leave the toilet without numb legs from sitting on the crapper for an eternity.  My Mum always used to tell me I'd get piles but I never have.  Think how blessed those of us are who never have to take a guidebook to Stanage, Millstone or Froggat.

Jim - I moved my copy of Clive James' Cultural Amnesia from the bedroom to the bog. Some of the essays require taking a brew in (much to Mrs FD's disgust) but that's no bad thing on a Sunday morning with the sun streaming through the window.
