which one for an all round shoe that is also a good comp shoe?

any other suggestions welome but these were the two that everyone at the crag and the wall reccomended.

I find boreals & 5.10's to be different in their foot shapes.

Think GCW is right with whatever fits best. The rubber on boreals is ok now, the fusion 3 was crap but the new quattro is great.

Exactly, I can't get 5.10 shoes on my feet but millions of people think they're the nuts.  You need to try them on and see what feels best for you.

coz it's my birthday. im not getting a new rope or harness yet, need to try them out and stuff first. anyway i dont do that much roped climbing and i like bouldering more anyway.



will try both pairs on and climb in them and see what feels best.

I flippd a coin a couple of months ago - 5:10 Verde vs Boreal Crux. Both fitted well, but ended up with the Verde due to having more rubber on then, hence better value for money (I am a Lancashire lad after all!).
