Thought it's worth mentioning that the inevitable invasion on almscliff as the only sure-fire dry venue will be met with disappointment if you don't take a shovel. The lay-by has been used to push the snow clear of the road so parking is limited. There's a tele-handler that goes up and down from the farm so it's not enough to just leave space for one car to pass. Get digging.

At the cliff at the moment.. All good, a bit windy but sheltered up top by DWR etc.. All good for those after a Friday afternoon/eve fix..

Out of interest, how did the Pistol Whip platform bear up? I imagine its just the dregs left now. Did anyone actually get the problem done with the platform?

I've not looked there yet - might be a little left but yes - just dregs around the crag now. Parking pretty much normal.

Whats the cliff like early morning at the moment? Working in meanwood at 10 and would like to get a seshwan in. Recon it will be worthwhile or are things likely to be damp?

Recon it'll be mint. If there's wind (is there ever no wind there?) it'll be fine.

I've been there when it's been enshrined in static windless clag and connies have been ace. Always worth a punt, the cliff, the worst that happens if it's log is that you get to work early!

We went to the cliff yesterday and had a decent session. The weather is still looking a bit grim today so we will probably end up bouldering there again.

Or does anyone know of any other grit bouldering that might be worth a punt?

Will these crags be dry today today though? I'm heading out in 30 mins and feel dolphin belly slapped out...

Forgive me, my crystal ball is being serviced at the moment.... It looks nice out here in Manchester...

Bits of them can be - depending upon the wind direction and amount/type of precipitation... see which way the wind (if there is any) is blowing vs the crag orientation.. exposed is generally quicker drying..

The Cliff is the quickest drying crag in the area..

Roads in Leeds are dry James, so I reckon so is the cliff

Cheers, i though there might be some other crags which might be in condition/reliably dry like almscliff. I've only really climbed at the cliff so have no idea what others are like and fancied a change.

Will probably end up back there again though given the outlook...

Everything was a bit damp earlier in meanwood... We decided before that we are heading to brimham ourselves and then will check out cliff/ilkley if it's wet.

Leaving now so drop me a text on 07821 493 947 if you want to know about brimham. Not sure how long it takes to get there though.

C'est ne pas très Bon...

Can't see the crag from the car park and it's bloody soaked.

Can't see it drying today unless a lot of wind arrives.

Oui! Un grand amount!

My French is pretty terrible... But yeah, lots of fog, literally nothing dry, can't see the crag at all, my feet are now soaked, I'm going to the local pantry. Fuck this shit!

Also, extrapolating from this information. Everywhere is probably wet...

Be fun on a mountain bike though!
