fuck me, a GP admitting his drug abuse / pedalling.... or planning the ripping out of his wifes's womb.. you've only been married 2 years!!!
BTW, have you taken those exams yet? Time to ride bikes / plan that trip to Font / drink beer blah blah blah....

sorry, went off topic there..... saves listening to the missus rant on about "feeling as if it's draggin out a me again...." and being adhered to a hot water bottle. :o

As for point 7, I agree... you have her share  :alky:

Yeah - done the exam - IT was the hardest thing I've ever done. Think I may be paying the college some more cash in a few months to get on the specialist register.

The surgical approach at least keeps the hospital in business - you know cuts no procedures with little clinical benefit etc.

Off to Canada next weekend - skiing !!

Who dares tell their Mrs that their brain shrinks at certain points of the menstrual cycle......

I'll tell yours and then she can tell mine.

I won't tell anyone that you told me.

That'll be £88.75

I'd advise not saying: "you weren't trying" as the Mrs. fails on the final move of something high. It didn't go down well. Bickering ensued.

I'm game, my Mrs is used to me coming out with loads of crap, it probably won't even register with her as she ignores most of what I prattle on about.

EDIT : Reading the paper though the results say...

"In females, GM [Grey Matter, the processing part of the brains] showed a significant volume increase at ovulation (t2 versus t1) (+1.81 %, p<0.05) and a corresponding volume loss in CSF [Cerebrospinal Fluid] (−4.4 %; p<0.05) (fig. 2)"

...so its that volume increases at a certain point (although you could take that as the baseline and argue that at other stages it has decreased in relation to this).

They also note that the volume changes did not appear show any clear cut relationship between changes in brain volume and hormone levels so its far from straight-forward that there is a direct casual link.

It also mentions post-menopausal (as opposed to post-menstural) decrease in brain volume (and cites three papers), which is a completely separate issue

Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

EDIT - How did I know that you would actually read it all, understand it and spoil the joke?!  ;)

I read it and then decided not to comment and ruin it for you all, for fear of being accused of doing it due to my small brain.  :-*

I wonder if the brain size changes have anything to do with the inability to judge shopping purchases as certain times?  :-\

That seems to happen throughout the month.

Are you suggesting that when the brain shrinks the bit that gets smaller is the part that understands the offside rule?  Could explain a lot.  We need some SCIENCE to test whether women understand the rule for 3/4 of the month and not for the other week?  I reckon you're on to something Jasper.

Get her stoned, works every time.
Well, unless you totally over do it and turn her into a paranoid mess.
