Justice for a couple of thoroughly unpleasant people.

Should make them share a cell. I think only one would come out alive.

Love John Prescott's Tweet in all that. Genius.

Of course the irony in the name of the venue will have been lost on the participants......

Quote
Instead, prime speaking time was doled out to yesterday's heroes and figures associated with the far right; people like Senator Ted Cruz, who recently, baselessly accused the new Secretary of Defence of taking payola from North Korea, as well as Donald Trump, Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney.

If ever there was a perfect target for a nuclear strike.......

No, the financial sector in the UK needs no regulation.

Dave Camercunt says they're all responsible, respectable people of good birth, from the finest schools and far beyond the reproach of us plebs.

Just like him.

Indeed. Whyohwhyohwhy can't they be more like the "not in need of legislation able to regulate themselves" members of the Fourth Estate?

For some more detail from the article - that was for an £80 loan, with £111 to be paid back 10 days later.

A big issue with the payday lenders is that its kind of like a giant ponzi scheme. People keep on borrowing to pay off the last loan and so on and so on... each lender (apart from the last one if they dont pay) benefits in the charges and interest.. Like all Ponzi's it will inevitably fail at some point - which will probably leave a hole in the finance sector - and more importantly leave a large number of people in debt/penniless...

Anyone think Osborne's actually going to see the light? No? I think the most damning condemnation was the IMF report saying austerity has cost us £78bn more than expected and essentially caused the double dip.

Anyone got any inside knowledge?

Of course UKB, lovely chaps that they are, recently made a cut with 24% support, so I hardly think the tories will worry about the trifling issue of 20% support.  :sorry:

I thought that was what the link was drawing our attention to. I mean, I don't really know what the pope is. All the instructions are in that book aren't they? Each cathedral has a man to read it to people on Sunday's. Too many managers I reckon. They need to call in some  consultants and thin out the management hierarchy.

If it were an office everyone would just assume the pope and God are at it
