Worth reading the comments on this. Pilger always draws a strong reaction but "I have neither the time nor the inclination to debunk your inaccurate facts..." is not a strong argument against!:

Quote from: The Family
"Bobby was a loving and loyal son who would do anything for his family. He will continually shine in our hearts forever"

Fair enough, I don't expect them to say, "He was a little twat", but the fact remains he was a thief.

Incidentally, if cops aren't going to pursue motorcyclists who aren't wearing the proper safety equipment, then surely it's the easiest theft ever? Maybe I'll go into business?

That always "amuses" me on the news.

Quote from: The Sun
Man convicted of paedophilia, rape, murder, genocide, torture, watching Big Brother, biting heads off of bats, fucking chickens, splashing chalk all over the Peak and claiming "new" problems, shagging dogs, farting in pensioner's face, shagging a goat in the ass, speeding in a 30 limit

described as

Quote from: Psychopathicmurderingcunt's wife
He was such a lovely man.  He loved children and animals.  And new routing at venues that have been utterly climbed out.  he was actually better than Jesus.

Fisk's books have become rather turgid but he can still produce a story that should make you angry and possibly make you feel a bit sick as well!

Was just about to post the same story

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/7988506/911-Koran-burning-disrespectful-and-disgraceful-Hillary-Clinton-says.html

What a total and utter twat. Instead of a few fundametalists, why not piss off every single member of a religion.

At what point is it OK to intervene and lock this twat away for wilfully committing acts to incite religious hatered? Or is it just plain terrorism?

That tree has to encroach on the quality of light for his neighbour and if that was me that would be my only complaint, if he want's privacy install shutters or shrubs that will grow closer to his property! I'm a bit anal when it comes to light  ;D

Michael cunt O'Leary at it again :wank:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/sep/08/ryanair-axe-unnecessary-co-pilots

Free publicity stunt (as mentioned in the article). I'd imagine there are aviation rules that mean there is a legal requirement to have co-pilots, in exactly the same vein that you can not be a standing passenger during take-off and landing as they were proposing a while back (linked from article).

I don't get the animosity people have for Ryan Air, its a free market they can do what they want (including the deviously underhand "you must pay with this obscure card otherwise we'll charge you extra" as its not outside the law).  They offer very cheap flights and if you don't want to play their game and accept the break-down of costs (extra for everything!) then its very simple, stop complaining and just fly with someone else, that way RyanAir don't get your dollar and you get a service your happier with (maybe!).

Beacuse we'd like an airline that flew to the same convient airports, for reasonable prices and yet didn't treat us like cunts.

Beacuse we'd like an airline that flew to the same convient airports, for reasonable prices and yet didn't treat us like cunts.

Lets take a case-study...

I fly once or twice a year to Eire to visit my brother, I've two main options Ryan Air (East Midlands to Dublin price ranges from £0.02-£60 return generally) or Aer Lingus (Manchester to Dublin price ranges from £60-150), BMI Baby never seem as competitive as Aer Lingus and are more of a ballache to get to, so I always jump on the train from Sheffield to Manchester and fly Aer Lingus.

Now how else could I get from Sheffield to Dublin?  I could drive and get the ferry, cost == lots more than either.  Train to Angelsey then ferry/foot == might be as cheap, but a real ball-ache.

The notion that air-travel should be cheap as chips or a "reasonable price" (which seems to equate to a few pounds in this instance) is bollocks.  Aviation fuel is massively subsidised by governments, air-travel is a big contributor to the amount of CO2 in the upper atmosphere, if anything flights should be more expensive in my opinion.  Might make people think twice.

And they're not treating you like cunts* either.  The traditional model used to have a flat fee for hold-baggage and other sundries such as free drinks/snacks.  Not everyone always had hold-baggage to check in, nor wanted anything to eat and drink, yet they paid it anyway in their one price catches all.  All RyanAir and other budget arilines have done is break this lump down into components where you then pay for what you use.  Not checking hold-baggage in, no need to pay for it, doesn't seem like cuntish behaviour to me.

And my point still stands, if you don't like being treated like a cunt  then vote with your wallet and fly with someone else, in real terms its NOT that much more expensive (e.g. my last flights to Eire was far less than what I've just spent driving Sheffield to Arran and back for a weekend break including ferry).  Its like going along to a prostitute for some S&M and then complaining about being abused afterwards but going back for more, if you don't like something, don't do it!

* The one exception to that is the crappy "you must use this card otherwise there is a surcharge" but they're well within the law to do so, other companies do it too, so complain about the law itself and get that changed.

People can vote with their feet. You haven't asked me if I did/do.
It doesn;t change the fact that there is IMHO an unpleasantness about that airline.

Couple of quick e.g's I'm sure there are lots
Attempting to charge disabled people extra:

http://www.stammeringlaw.org.uk/cases/ross.htm

Charging 1300 for 3 violins:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-1299616/Ryanair-makes-musicians-buy-seats-VIOLINS.html

Your absolutely right that if that people choose with their wallet, and obviously people are happy to use ryanair. Doesn;t change the fact that a lot of people, myself included think they are cunts, who wouldn't know the definition of "goodwill" if it bit them on the arse
