I'm sure Dr Peter Marren mentioned the attempted sell off of the FC land (in Wales and Scotland) to help recover some of the national debt, last year in his "twitcher in the swamp" in British Wildlife. The concept went down badly in many quarters when it was reviewed and was withdrawn from view.
It was said it was likely to re-surface but I didn't expect such a vast proposal. I suspect they are going for the "Aim BIG" and once its been watered down people will think yeah, that’s not so bad... approach!!

A Croatian pal of mine works as a video editor for a reality-show in Zagreb.  Few months back he came within a whisker of being sacked and his program being fined €100K for allowing the text:  Those Dynamo Cunts (the local footie team.  In Croat, naturally) to flash on the screen.  Turns out it was written & saved as some form of "template" many years ago by a disgruntled ex-employee and somehow turned-up unnoticed on prime time TV.

It was funny,  I've other Croat pals who sprayed it all w/ glee at the time.  I was like: Yeah, I know who did it too!
