just wondered if this place was worth a visit - wandered past it on the way to doing some mileage at horseshoe this weekend but didn't get time to look closer - wondered if it would be a wet weather place....

Re conditions, def worth a look - in heavy/ prolonged rain water runs down onto the holds under the roof and condenses on them too. can be in surprisingly good nick though when u least expect it. As regards whether its worth a visit, not everybody's bag but u can def get a good workout there and it was good enough for Moffatt in the 80's/ 90's! usually refered to as Tom's Roof.

small cave just opposite the parking for horseshoe quarry way past the Eyam turning as you head away from stoney.....

Do you mean Tom's Roof or Tom's Cave?  The roof is in Ru's guide, not sure if the cave has ever been in a guide.

If Tom's Cave (as opposed to Roof, confusing!!) is the one by the road where Polish Dave's new 8a+/8b is then I don't believe there is a topo or indeed many climbs other than this problem or maybe a 7c lip traverse? It is certainly not referred to in any guide.

Hannibal and Andronicus needed quite a bit of cleaning and trundling, as far as I know, so they probably didn't play on those. The traverse of the back actually has a few interesting moves and might just scrape in at 7a (don't quote me on that) - maybe they did this? There are a couple of problems up the left wall at 6a-ish, and eliminates/easy up problems on an overhanging section on the right, though again, this has had quite a bit of loose stuff removed to achieve its current state.
