Nice shot of Nai at Higgar today (on the 7a below the rasp). Not sure if its of Quality standard, and its a dead simple shot, but the light, shadows, rock, seemed to make it best that way :) wish I had a longer lens to flatten it a bit more (20mm..)

really dont like this type of photo, the light in them feels so unnatural. id much prefer to see the climb and climber caught in the moment without over editing.

The lightings actually straight out of the camera (2 speedlights + ambient) - the only thing I added was a little mid tone contrast to the skin in CE3 and used the burn tool a little to take some of the hot spots off the chalk. All in all about 5 mins

Appreciate your comment though :)

Only just saw this - I think the lighting is stellar. Crumbly really is a dingy shithole (but the problems are great) and any half decent shot of this needs place good lighting- without it, its either too dark or there's too much flash heat on the piles of chalk on every hold.

Off camera lighting can look really shit if done badly, but I think CF has done a good job with that pic. Esp if it's a dingy shithole like Carnage says.

Really like the second one.  Not being able to see your face clearly in the first detracts slightly.
