It was wet this morning but the sun came out this afternoon and dried some bits off, although it was generally minging.  The top outs were also still wet which made things exciting scary.  Nefertiti almost dried out, if it's a little better tomorrow morning it might be ok.

Ai No Corrida is one of the first things on the crag to dry out, Nefertiti one of the last.

Even if it doesn't rain we often have a morning fog that somehow seems to make everything wetter than rain, impossible I know but it feels like that.  Forecast again for tomorrow I'm afraid but brightening up in the PM and the wind's stronger so may do a bit more.

There were some guys on West today which may have been taking a bit more breeze than North...

Unless anyone was out building today I'd stand by my comments about the platform on Ai no Corrida as I left the crag at dark on Sunday.

There's a committing move up the arete which should be OK without spotters (and felt like the crux to me) however you probably wouldn't want to barn door off the top moves. A few people did exactly that on Saturday but they had spotters and a bank of snow to roll down.

Agree with chris, the platform was built up a bit more on the sunday due to a lot of it being demolished by climbers barndooring off and missing pads  but its still one to have spotters for IMO

Much left in the way of platforms below TBM? Did it dry up a bit today?

Been snowing on and off here since first thing this morning. Hard to tell how much has fallen, as it's getting blown about by a fairly strong N to NE wind, but probably at least an inch has fallen and it's apparently moving southwards.

Yeah, snowing in Sheff here now. Pretty sleety in town, but no doubt will be settling on the moors. I'm not convinced we'll get any significant accumulations though.

Was think you might get some drifting, but wind down there is nowhere near as strong as that forecast for here.

We are forecast to get it for next 4 days, should fill in the gully lines a bit!

Peak only really got a light dusting today. Stuff like Zippy's on the Business Boulder or Captain Hook would make good snowballs I'd have thought.

What about One More Inch?

After a light dusting it'll be buried.

Nerfetitititititi's platform is still intact, the wall is dry but the top out is verglassed (as are many in the area) unless the sun comes out it'll need deicing somehow before an ascent so go prepared.  Or more sensibly just go bouldering.

Looking very promising indeed with the ready-frozen ground, prolonged freezing temps and strong easterlies. Even if we only get an inch or two it could well result in big drifts.

Hoping Liverpool will catch some of this but we seem to have a weather system that is disconnected from the UK. Nobody stole it before the jokes roll in  ::)
