Perc's got a banging techno treat for you at the moment:

All four Forever EPs together for a decent price. Good variety here and most of it is uncompromisingly techno as it gets.

Nice funky rolling groove from Spiral Tribe's Jeff 23:

Thanks Duncan, enjoyed that. Been a long time since I could make through to an 8 am set though!
Not sure if this has already been on here (imagine this is where I'd have heard it tbh) but while we're on the subject - 40:00 to 50:00 of this set of Flo's is particularly fine:

Ooh yeah that was a good’un, Duma!! We have talked about trying to put on an acid night at some point so if you’re keen you should come up to Sheffield for it!

I've been listening to these mixes from Fatboy Slim at Brighton Beach Big Boutique in 2001 / 2002. A friend was telling me his (hazy) memories of the nights so I looked them up.

Does anyone play sets like this anymore? Some proper feel good dancing music!

Well... Fatboy Slim does. Saw him at Scarborough Open Air Theatre in July. He was excellent.
I've been listening to some of his current sets which are great too. I'll keep an eye out for his gigs in the UK.

I'd love to get out to a live set sometime this year - the first time in ages for me. But I definitely want a high-energy dancing night, rather than a standing there nodding to some dark techno (which I also love). So any other recommendations are very welcome!

James will get a shock if he’s looking for Fatboy Slim style music at Bangface Fiend!!
I have to say it looks great! Though a weekend of it might be a bit much.

The bits I've just watched remind me of one of the best sets I've ever seen in the Fortress at Beat Herder. I forget who it was now but it was super high energy - I'll try and dig out who it was.

There's always a lot of techno, some breakbeat, some dubstep, old-skool rave on Thu, and big name headliners on Sat midnight. 2023 had Utah Saints, Altern8 and Orbital for starters....

Admittedly I skipped Orbital to get ready for Axe Gabba Murda Mob....

This might give a better feel for his current sets, Scarborough was a bit similar, lots of tunes mixed into techno and house. AI has definitely helped him up his visuals a level too. This was 2 days after the GE and all the cabinet ministers who had lost their seats appeared and morphed into each other, one by one. Divisive, but very well received. A feelgood moment, for sure.

Me? No, didn’t mean to imply that, but it’s more recent and similar in style to what he played at Scarborough.
