Bonus points if you can get some spoken word samples in from E9 6c.

'E9 6C is out there on the streets every night'

'Only God climbs that hard'

'Two people have seen that painting. One of them is dead, the other has gone mad'

Consumed and Shock of the New had very good soundtracks. Can't remember which of the two this Electronic Eye track is from, but it's been a favourite of mine for a while

along with this one, which I was literally listening to when I opened this thread (both great tracks for working to...)

10 easy points for whoever can guess which film this is from.

I love this song. Got to love a bit of Asha Bhosle.

Pretty sure Go Back is from TSOTN over Tender Homecoming. That whole album is amazing. Proper Sheffield stuff.

Weird but when I go to buy the Speedy J "Pepper" track from various places it's a different track to the one on that youtube link / One Summer.

Any ideas ?

Has anyone mentioned the Stick It soundtrack? I've probably mentioned this before, but I lived at Uni with Tom Brown who was working for Warp when Ben and Rich were putting together Stick it. Tom gave me a copy of everything that got put out by Warp around that time. So I had a bunch of CDs that Ben took away to listen to and then Tom did some licensing agreement, which is why there's a bunch of Warp tracks on there (Tom went on to set up Lex Records, initially as an imprint of Warp then he bought it). My route at Black Rocks is named after a Board of Canada track...

One Summer was all Warp wasn’t it? Which was a good few years earlier than Stick It, maybe 95 vs 01?
T_B's on the money with the Warp connection but as JB says that was for One Summer. Lots of tracks from the two Artifical Intelligence comps, Speedy J and Seefeel. Ben Moon, Ben Pritch, Al Williams, GME and me watched loads of the raw footage playing those very CDs that T_B got from Tom Brown in Ben's front room for hours and hours until Ben P did the final selection and edit.

As for StickIt - The soundtrack largely came from mine & FatBoySlimfast's CD collection with some other people helping out too like I Monster with their fantastic Daydream track, and then downselected by Ben and Rich for the edit. I wrote and recorded the music for the Northumberland section sampling Dorothy Ashby and playing keys and guitar in my loft.

My memory might not be 100% so maybe Ben P might be around to correct me.

I’m not that old Ben! One Summer came out in ‘94. Tom and I graduated in ‘98. Here are the three Toms (Panton, Mitchell (the late Rob Mitchell’s brother) and Brown, probably in ‘99. I took some photos for an article in the Sheffield Telegraph about their Dropping Science night.cb0752e0-f3be-403c-9f71-84c66fa4a4e2.jpeg

Ooooosh forgot about Hard XS.

I bloody love that track on your section!
Any ideas what it is???

That’s the ticket JB. I knew it was around somewhere and T_B was spot on with his Warp introduction. Nice one.

I made a playlist of the between the trees soundtrack years ago, but couldn't get all the tracks.
