Don't suppose you've got a link Chris? The only cheap copies I could see where French and my skills are pretty rusty.

I've got a copy. I enjoyed the book, there are great photos through out and it's a generally quality production. There is some slightly lumpy translation and a few typos, but these are just my niggles. They are being sold as second hand on amazon for a few fuck alls, mine had never been opened by the look of it.
Can you please DM me a link to the cheap copy's Chris

A search for ISBN 9782365450225 on abebooks.co.uk comes up with a cheap copy that says "Language: French" in the description but with a picture of the English edition's cover, and the ISBN matches my English copy. Grab it

That must have gone now

I wonder whether abe and amazon were linking to the same third party seller? I nipped in shortly after SA Chris posted his link and picked up what looks like the english translation for £3.91.

If it turns up as expected you're welcome to a loan after I've had a read.

That's exactly the one I have remus. My brother got it for me second hand as a present, and i think he got it for less than a tenner. Worth keeping an eye out in case it comes up again when that copy is sold...

Teach me for going for going to have my hair cut...

No worries.
Having only just walked past Jibe's shop in lourmarin under a couple of weeks ago (way to ill to go in, I was only in the town to find a place that sold lucozade, apparently its like hens teeth where we were and then also find cash machine) and then listening to the podcast with him and David Chambre on the Kris Hampton thing it's cool to know he's still so attached to climbing.
