Cheers. I kept that as a back up but risked Caley and Slapstick is dry. A bit short on time so I’m glad not to have wasted the driving time only to find it wet!
Awesome, Thanks so much 36chambers!! Really appreciate the intel. There's currently a good breeze running along roadside, about two-thirds of what I walked passed was nice and dry, the rest was not too far off (this is after a bit of heavy rain last night). I can only imagine it'll be better tomorrow.
I thought I was going crazy! Running around the Chevin, blue skies when I set off, suddenly there's hail/sleet pouring down. I'd have guessed it crossed the valley to Almscliff, bizarre it didn't.Caley was mint until an enormous and unforecast rain/sleet shower rolled through at 14.30. Amusingly I gather this rain didn't hit Almscliff a few miles away!
It's a bastard. Unless there's a wind to catch the face it can stay wet. I've walked in several times to find it wet/condensed /iced up when I thought it would be decent. However I can't see the overnight rain Bradders mentions on my forecast so I'd probably say it's worth a punt on Saturday, but be prepared to bail.Does anyone know how easy/hard it is to find heaven in your hands at brandrith in condition? Looking at heading to it on the weekend, think it looks dry enough through the week but not hugely windy?
