VW Golf for sale or UKB freecycle.

MOT expires 30 October 2011, tax until end December 2011 - that's £20 worth of tax disc.

MOT is likely to require a new tyre and a new ball joint plus the usual engine environment clean up to pass emissions test. I reckon £150 will see it through its MOT.

Will freecycle, without tax disc and without putting it through its MOT. Or,

will sell after MOT for around £300 with tax and 1 year MOT.

Car is 5 door VW Golf 1.9 TDi 1995 'N' reg. Comes with:

  • Just run in, only 238,000 miles. Starts first time every time.
  • Gear stick fancy locking mechanism so you don't have to worry about it being knicked. Even have a spare key for when you lose the main one.
  • A boot that takes 2 bouldering mats (POD/ Metolius / Ronin, the lot)
  • Knows its way to most decent crags in the Peak, Yorkshire and the Lakes and likewise for pubs in the same locations
  • Great in the snow for crap student drivers, it really won't matter if you crash it
  • Fancy CD stereo (well it was in 1995), CD doesn't really work, radio does.
  • Coat hanger aerial is a bit rusty and could do with replacing. Multiple colour choices available.
  • Sunroof - slightly tainted in appearance to act as UV block
  • Some rust just bubbling up under paintwork but generally you can still see some shades of the original purple colour
  • Various bits of dust and dirt from several years of internal neglect
  • Drivers door electric window doesn't work, passenger side is a bit random. Rear left window operates manually with standard winder, rear right is manual full open or closed depending on whether you have the bit of wood in place or not. Dukes of Hazzard entry and egress can be problematic
  • Oil gauge on the blink, mostly

... really, this has been in the family since new and we will be very sorry to see it go :wavecry: Someone needs to see this thing up to 250k miles at least. Stupid company car rules force abandonment. :chair:

PM me if interested or to make an offer. Sheffield based.
