Should have said £2.2mill plus 500k for para team.

See if they accidentally manage to spend £4 mill rather than the £2mill granted

Erm, more like 1.2 times the funding which seems pretty scant reward, really, for a gold and two other finalists ("In 2020, UK Sport awarded £1,502,435 in development funding and £450,000 in progression funding"). It might be more than that depending what 'progression funding' is/was and how you classify the ringfenced para climbing money.

It might well be time to split the BMC from comps but that wouldn't be doing comps any favours considering GB climbing expenditure has been over £1.1 million PA for the years 2021-23
