For Sale FS: Home wall matting

I'm on the lookout for some matting but definitely not the whole lot. Maybe just a 3 x 1.5, or possibly both 2 x 1.5 mats. If anyone is interested in splitting then give us a shout.

    FS: Unparallel Regulus UK6 £50

Or 20 fuck all's, if the exchange rate hasn't changed. Too small for me, but if any pixie footed peeps want a bargain, they are brand new, unboxed. £50 posted

    Kids' climbing shoe exchange

This is a great idea. And while I don't yet have a 29 free (#2 is just about to come into them) I do have many smaller sizes of the Decathlon booties that we've found to be great for little uns. Happy to swap/share the love. I could do with a pair of 30/31s myself. I'll do an audit in the...

    Cheap shoes thread.

I've got a pair of Sirius at the moment, last season's I think but they should be the same sizewise. I really like them. Very much like an old dragon. I was a 7 in those and I've got a 7 in the Sirius which are possibly a big more snug but not by much.

Fontainebleau gite 23rd - 30th March up for grabs

Well, space in a shared gite I suppose. We have a large gite booked, just by Musardiere campsite, so walking distance to much of the Tois Pignons region, for said dates. Unfortunately one of our team of families has had to pull out due to a blown sewer at home requiring a rather large financial...

How tall are the best competitions climbers?

How is this still news to people? Surely the recipe has been know for ages? Be short (weigh less, smaller lever effect etc.), have long arms (reach further). Being tall only helps on slab/vert things and as mentioned, comp climbing would be shit if a problems was obviously won because a shorty...

    Long head bicep tear recovery/physio

Hey Ian, not a colleague of Strongpalms are you? If so he might have conveyed some of this already. Ruptured mine in Feb this year at nearly 42. Luckily had medical cover though work. Saw a consultant (Matt Ravenscroft at the Alexandra in Cheadle) within a few days, went under the knife two...

Pick it Up, Post it Up!

Walked round the top at the amazing tree boulder down Churnet last weekend and spotted the remains of a fire :furious: and the resulting detritus shoved into a little cave. Came back yesterday with bags and friends and packed out a crate's worth of empty Stella bottles, same again of...

    Longhead biceps rupture NNFN

Hmmm, quite a different take on patient age from the surgeon there. My guy said if I were older (I'm 41) and/less active he would suggest leaving it, but younger/more active people he'd suggest tenodesis. Do you mean that you aren't as strong post-op but that could be because you used to try...

    Longhead biceps rupture NNFN

Right then, I've had a search and while I've seen plenty of people with SLAP tears, biceps tears, people having ruptured the longhead and doing nothing, I've found nothing about anyone who has fully ruptured the longhead biceps and had it reattached, which is what I'm looking at right now. It...

    Inside Shin pain below knee

Sounds similar to something I've had a fair while back. Tight hamstrings were the culprit. Copious amounts of stretching sorted it fairly quickly. Plenty of other possibilities though as sheavi suggests

    Best kids circuits in Font

There was a new (painted 2021 I think) white circuit that we found this year at Apremont Ouest that I thought was the best of the trip. Takes in some pretty big stuff at amenable difficulties and the descents were as much fun as the ascents. Starts at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side.

Topic split - I know something you don’t

It's actually me. But I'm not going to tell you what any of things I've done are, or provide any evidence, until I've climbed 8C. (Which could be a while because I'm actually an overweight, under-trained, 40-something year old father of two without the time or energy to put into climbing 7C...

    Magic Wood with a baby.

We did a couple of weeks there when our lad was about 8 months old. Was absolutely fine, but then he wasn't really mobile at that age. I guess at 10 - 11 months yours will probably be on the move, how much is anyone's guess. Getting around the boulders wasn't really any more difficult than...
