I've just put link on the Snowdonia-Active website to this wonderful site.

then go to 'Snowfire: hot and cold pictures' in the climbing links section.

Gorgeous eye candy!

Surely its "porth ysgo", not "port ysgol", ysgol means "school" don't it?

photos are bo. Those bulgarian guys i met at stanage before they went down to wales, they were getting brute strong on the green traverse. You could say   i taught them eveyrthing they know about climbing.

You're right about the name. Ysgol does mean school. I've emailed Alex and told him to change it.

The Porth Oer cave is an excellent venue, with some of the best looking hard (V10?) projects I've ever seen and a perfect sandy landing. You do need a good breeze - a bit like the scene at Angel Bay.

I went down on Sunday with Mark Katz, and the cave was bone dry. We sat on the beach brewing up for half an hour, then it pissed it down!

Of course I will be back - perhaps not for the really hard stuff, but the main roof crack is a real battle.

I do believe there are more venues on the north coast - we just haven't found them yet. I did do a sea level traverse from here for about a mile north with Mark Lynden a few weeks ago. No bouldering, but some wacky new routes to do.

Bubba, I think Alex's site is slowing down because there are too many people opening up the pictures. Something to do with bandwidth 'n' all that? (being a techy type I'm sure you know what's going on.)

When I looked this morning I could open them all to a big size.

They open up from the thumbnails but still on ly to about 450x450 - it'd be nice if they were 800x600 or something - it'd be nice for wallpaper. Guess you have to email him for that.....
