the old webmasters got less and less enthusiasts about it (new boulders and pict took a loooong time to be put up).

a bunch of people started a concurrent website, which caused a bit of discussion with bleau.info's remaining webmaster.

I think they proposed him to take over the website and that's what happened, but i can't be 100% sure right now. I'll ask the supposed new owners directly the next time i see them in the forest!

The site is now owned by Bart, the author of the excellent 7+8 and 5+6 (part deux is almost finished ) topo's. My guess is, judging by the iPhone app that goes with the topo's, that it's going to be a massive improvement.
