Whip me Whip me at Baslow
February 16, 2008, 11:15:40 am
Did this the other day and it seemed way too easy for 7a+?! From a sit down start in the cave I'm able to start with my left hand on a fat slopey pinch and right hand in a shallow three finger pocket. Then its just a case of pulling on and slapping for a good sloping ledge and easy moves to the top. Am I missing something? I noticed a chalked slot and shallow dish next to each other further into the cave but they would seem pointless to use as handholds as from this position you can still reach the good holds on the lip.  :-\ Any help?
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Did a search myself before posting and found the first link you included. This makes me think I've done the problem at least how others seem to be doing it. Was just wondering if anybody had any definitive info.

I did it from deeper in the cave just to make sure.
Never 7a+ from the other start I don't think.

Cheers for replying guys,
I'd have to agree......the way I did it (and the way others appear to have done it according to the above link) is never 7a+ in a month of sundays! Using the fat slopey pinch and three finger pocket dont require you to fully lie down so maybe I'll have another look when I'm over at Baslow.
