How about using something like http://flickrslidr.com/ to create a rotating selection of images from the flickr UKB group?

I've done a quick test and stuck it on my site here.  The main disadvantage I can see is that the slide show is linear rather than random, so you always start at the most recently posted pictures.  I'll have a look around for some alternative 3rd party slide show things though.

Nah I use photobox for printing stuff out (well I took advantage of their 30 free prints) and they have no API to flickr at all.  They might do their own slideshow, but that would involve everyone uploading their pictures to a photobox account, and loads of people have already done that on flickr.

Looked around at alternative slide shows using the API, but they're pretty much all identical.
