following on from the oink snuff's it thread, I'm after a decent general purpose torrent site to replace demonoid with.
I find torrentspy a bit shit and isohunt is annoying.
Hit me with some websites

http://www.torrents.to

Type in what you want to search for and you can search loads of places by clicking on the bar at the top.

You after anything in particular?

I think Demonoid will be back at some stage anyway, though not in a hurry - latest update i've seen from the admin is: "Money is an issue, but the real problem at the moment is finding a suitable place to host the website. There has been no luck there. And there's some personal stuff I need to take care of that takes most of my time at the moment, and that does not help."

For public torrents I like http://www.torrentz.com because it searches loads of the big main torrent sites (inc. piratebay/mininova/btjunkie) and you also get all the alternative trackers at the bottom (very handy)

I use http://www.bitsoup.org/. It's always good quality stuff, never any of those dodgy downloads that require passwords to open them, or links to websites where you have to to fill in surveys to be given passwords, etc.

The only problem is that they restrict the number of members to 100,000 and cut you off if you have 3 months of inactivity - so it's pot luck whether you are able to sign up.

Any good new recomendations, since demonoids demise, I've been a bit stuck for a good torrent site
(are torrents still in vogue? is there some new fangled d/loading thing out now?)

KAT seems to be about the best at the moment. I say at the moment but I haven't used it for a couple of months so it might all have changed.

There's probably something new and quicker that the kids know about.

On a side note, does anyone know if it's possible to find the John Peel archive that were swifly deleted from the cloud?
