For a first 7c?

Keyboard Wall or Hall of Mirrors?

Don't know Keyboard Wall, but have done Hall of Mirrors. If you like gritstone bouldering, I would highly recommend it, thought it was a soft touch at that grade too.

"Tennessee" and "Shining Heart" at Coastguard kick the arse out of both the routes you mention.

Also - this thread needs moving

Keyboard wall is well soft and probs only 7b+, but is an excellent piece of climbing. Short lived and more technical than anything else.

Hall Of Mirrors is exactly as it says in the guide. Feels 7b+ to redpoint.

If the 7c does not have to be on Portland, get over to Swanage, and to the prom. Rise of the robots has to be the easiest 7c around. Liquid steel to the right is also pretty soft if your strong. As is the Futurist, again, just to the right.

If we're off Portland Mark of the Beast is the only way to go, shirley? Not sure it counts as a good first one though.
