If not, what else might do it?  Any ideas?

Not dragging your toes in the first place? Bad habit to get into.

I have excellent footwork and never drag my toes!  How dare you even suggest it?!  :spank:

I think the holes are actually more due to how tight the shoes were to start with, the only way for my feet to fit in them was the burst through the (very soft) Evolv rubber to get some room.

But yes, I will watch out for toe dragging, which I may be partial to a bit of at times  :-[

I used to swear by this stuff for fixing up my skate shoes, it's brilliant stuff.

I got a tube of the stormsure stuff, £4 out of a diving shop, and it's sealed up the holes on my toes no problem, looks a bit sloppy as I wasn't very careful but it's definitely covered the hole and feels pretty secure.  Will report back on how well it lasts once I've dragged my toes over some rocks and messed it up a bit but initial signs seem good.

Araldite is the bomb for this kind of stuff, ive been using it on a shoe for an extreme toe hook for the last couple of weeks and its holding up mightey fine.  (Even used it to attach some lead to the wierd slider to protect widdop wall.)

Will have to try some Araldite, split the toe on a shoe thanks to some glass the other week, just as they were getting comfy and have massacred an old pair to get a little patch of rubber.  Superglue and Puncture repair glue have both failed remarkably quickly though.

I've not found Araldite to be very effective. I had the sole fall off a pair of month old guide tennies and have yet to find a glue than can hold it back on for longer than a day. Even got the resolers to glue it and it still fell off.

If they're only a month old you should take them back, regardless of what you're doing in them they should last longer than that.

Don't worry I did, but was fobbed off by both the retailer and the distributor. Cunts.

Cunts indeed, I'd have thrown the shoes at someones head at that point, doesn't get you anywhere but you feel a bit better.  ;)
