as the title says, i'm after a font 7s and 8s guide. don't seem to be able to get it anywhere. is it out of print?

I obtained it from Sypeland not so long ago. Probably worth giving them a go if you don't have luck elsewhere. You could make me a monumental offer but I'd still probably reject it - a design classic in my eyes.

Doubtless you will have heard people talking about a rumoured second edition. I suppose it remains as hearsay for now.

the 7&8 is so good that i borrowed a copy from tom (moo) and scanned the whole thing, printed it at uni on free credit then had it stuck together a la the dissertation place. that is the only solution i could find to this problem. i still wait for the new one...

On occassion, I think it's available from Sabots weekend car park guy if you happen to know of anyone out there or are going in the future. Perhaps no longer though I don't know.

Have you tried Cotswolds in Keswick? I worked there for 4 years and they used to have stacks of them laying around, they never really sold many TBH. May be worth giving them a bell: 017687 81030.

F*ck me, I'm gonna go and buy as many as I can.  Then I'm going to wallpaper my flat with them so that Font topos are all around me at all times at home.  Imagine that, I wouldn't have to reach all the way over to my ever growing stack of guides on the front room floor.  Instead I could just gaze around the room choosing venues at random.  I think I've got a hard on just thinking about it.
