Azureus Speed Scheduler

If anyone else uses an ISP that restricts your download speeds if you go over your allowance and uses Azureus then this is a handy utility:

http://students.cs.byu.edu/~djsmith/azureus/index.php

I have set it so I won't upload or download during the peak period my ISP has determined (16:00-midnight) but outside these times Azureus can run at full speed.

I want to switch over to utorrent but I am seeding around 200 torrents in Azureus and can't see a way of easily seeding these in utorrent.

Any ideas?

Errr, this is a bit of a guess, but I seem to recall it working when I switched from ABC. Just ensure that your folder settings are set the same in utorrent, and provided you still have the original .TORRENT files, fire them up in utorrent and it should do the checking through the completed torrents and start seeding when they hit 100%.

Dunno what's supposedly good about utorrent but it does the job for me, better than ABC did. It's nice and light too, and can be run off an exe so no install. And you can operate it over the internet from a remote PC I think.

When I last tried Azureus it seemed a bit full on with gadgety features that I dint need.

Part of the reason for seeding so many torrents is that I am struggling with my ratio on Oink. I am going to stick with Azureus - there doesn't seem to be a quick way to migrate to utorrent.

Everyone struggles with ratio's on OINK. Its a shame really because there is a lot of stuff on there but its a relatively small community and very unhealthy because of its private invite only nature and strict ratio rules

You have to upload stuff really - encode stuff in .flac and upload is a good ratio boost.
