mac recording freeware
April 07, 2007, 11:48:22 am
I've a load of vinyl I want to digitise and wondered if anyone could recommend some decent freeware for recording it all..? garageband sucks as far as I can tell.. and soundedit doesn't seem to handle recording albums that well.. any suggestions? any software (ie not freeware) I could lookout for on something like Limewire? prolly gonna go straight from my decks into the mac via an amp if that helps...

We used Spindoctor(part of toast). It's not freeware though.

have used 'wiretap' for recording streamed audio etc. on me mac - its ace, although not free (20 bucks) - 'sound edit' is also worth a try, and is better for the vinyl thing (think this was freeware when i downloaded it a couple of years ago)
