I was literally amazed and confused when I received an ice fishing set for Christmas from my Norwegian relatives. How do you phone someone up and thank them for quite possibly the most useless item for a Briton? Still can't work out what to say.

You could ask them to swap it for a ticket to the last test

fucking hell. That looks wicked. I'd be well psyched. Get some practise in with a  sheet of polystyrene floating on a pond and you can impress them next time you visit them in the depths of the Norwegian winter.
