Can I swap you for a partly used Barry Durston and the top half of a Dave Simmonite?

Reserve not yet met.

On the upside, postage is cheap. And I could have myself boxed up and sitting in your next door neighbour's hallway within the day.

Funny you should mention that, have you seen the pic of grimer in his bubble wrap "life jacket" at the DWS festival? Lucky it never got tested; I watched on nervously, trying to remember life saving techniques.

Having recently flicked through Ru's guide I think there's even one problem (read: pissy little eliminate) at the Roaches I can add - on the Upper Tier Boulder with Higginson's Arm on. Lord and master of the Roaches (Gary Cooper) couldn't remember anyone having done it before, most likely due to its insignificance but hey ho

Pull onto the right side of the slab (using the arete of left groove as a sidepull) to get stood in the chipped pocket (i think). Make very thin tenuous moves out left onto the slab and then up this - i think this uses the holds that 'One Inch Punch' goes for (see photo here: http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.html?id=1133), so its basically a right hand start to an unclimbed project - seem to recall it being a good old fashioned English 6b/c, although this is all going off memory of a boulder I've not touched for about seven years now mind....

Have always meant to have a look at the Gun Rock area. What does Ultra Violence look like, is it highballable, or is the landing dodgy?

Its not that high really and with mats would go  - apart from the landing - like you say is a bit pish. I remeber it being hulk like green - but this was 19 years ago!

Been to Gun Rock twice in the last year. Not that dirty given it seems to be regarded as the arse end of nowhere. Our best climber that day (BGM) failed to work Ultraviolence so we gave up on it (the landing drops away and gets worse as you progress). We led or bouldered everything else listed.

Tom PR - Ultraviolence needs you!
